1. Who we are

This website is operated by FORPONT ECOMMERCE PRIVATE LIMITED, a private limited company holding GSTIN 10AAHCF0962G1Z2, with its registered office at C/O Somani Devi, Nariar Road, Nariar, Saharsa, Bihar - 852201. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that entity, and "you" refers to anyone using this website.

We act as the data fiduciary for the personal data described below and handle it in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to sell you material and deliver it.

  • Order and delivery data — name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, city, state and pincode.
  • Transaction data — order reference, line items, quantities, amounts, payment method, payment and refund status.
  • Correspondence — anything you send us through the contact form, by email, by phone or over WhatsApp, including the message itself.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed and referring page, collected automatically by the server and any analytics tools that are enabled.

We do not collect government identity numbers, and we do not ask for or store card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials.

3. Why we use it

  • To process, pack, dispatch and deliver your order
  • To issue a GST-compliant tax invoice and maintain statutory accounting records
  • To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and delivery updates
  • To answer your questions and handle returns, damage claims, refunds and complaints
  • To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive orders
  • To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
  • To send price-list and product updates, but only if you asked for them

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not rent or trade contact lists.

By placing an order or submitting a form you consent to your personal data being processed for the purposes set out above. Where processing depends only on your consent — such as the price-list mailing — you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Some processing continues regardless of consent where it is necessary to complete a transaction you asked for, or where we are required by law to retain records.

5. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary, with:

  • Logistics and courier partners — name, delivery address and mobile number, so the consignment can be delivered.
  • Payment gateway — the transaction reference and amount. Payment credentials go to the gateway directly and never pass through our systems.
  • Email and hosting providers — as processors, to send transactional email and operate the site.
  • Analytics providers — aggregated usage data, where analytics is enabled.
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities — where we are legally required to disclose.

These partners are permitted to use the data only for the purpose we share it for.

6. Payment data

Payments are handled by a third-party payment gateway over an encrypted connection. We do not receive, process or store card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs or net-banking credentials at any point. We hold only the transaction reference, the amount and the resulting status, which is what we need to reconcile your order.

Card tokenisation, where applicable, is handled by the gateway in line with Reserve Bank of India guidelines.

7. How long we keep it

  • Order, invoice and tax records — for as long as required under applicable tax and company law.
  • Correspondence — up to 24 months from the last exchange, unless it relates to an ongoing matter.
  • Marketing contact details — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
  • Technical logs — typically up to 12 months.

When data is no longer needed for any of these purposes, it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS/TLS. Access to order data is restricted to authorised personnel through password-protected administrative accounts, and payment credentials never enter our systems at all.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, and in the event of a breach affecting your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

9. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and equivalent browser storage:

  • Necessary — a session cookie, and browser storage that keeps your order list on your own device. The order list never leaves your device until you check out.
  • Analytics — where enabled, to understand aggregate usage patterns.

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies or storage will stop the order list from working.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
  • erase data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
  • withdraw consent for processing that relies on it;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights if you are unable to.

Write to us using the contact details below. We respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first. Where we cannot act on a request — for example because tax law requires us to retain an invoice — we explain why.

11. Children

This website sells building materials and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The revised version is published on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged prominently. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.

13. Grievance officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, the details of our grievance officer are published on the grievance redressal page.
